A farewell to my baby girl Leeloo

I’ve had a rough year with my pet family. I spent the better part of spring and summer doing doggie hospice for my 16 year old dog, Bowser. Then, just shy of two months after losing him, on September 19th I lost my kitty girl to a fisher cat, not something I would wish on anyone. Leeloo was such a cutie … ever curious and so helpful with my fiber work, lol. I miss them both terribly and it has taken a toll on my work and energy level, but I believe we all learned what we were meant to from one another.

They’re still with me everyday …

    Oh Nancy,
Again m sorry. And again, I’m dealing with a similar experience.

There are so many beautiful and loving would-be fur friends out there who need you. Pay tribute to the friends you have lost by rescuing another one or two from a shelter or a foster home. Your beloved pets will be with you always, but there is always room in your heart for more.

  3. I’m so sorry for your loss. We lost one of our cats 2 months ago, and lost his brother a few days ago. We are still reeling from the loss, and our house seems so empty with no animals in it. My heart really goes out to you. Animals are such wonderful friends, and it is heart breaking to lose them, although the time you have with them is definitely worth the pain of saying goodbye. They have such amazing personalities, don’t they?

    I hope you are ok.

    Jen

  4. Thank you everyone for your kind words.
