i want to try everything! seems like the possibilities are endless. really liking the shibori, but still drawn to using gutta to contain the colors. would love to be able to do this all the time … but the other life stuff gets in the way. the turtles are gone already. probably do a series of under water paintings.
i’ve been playing with my serger and re-covered a nice little ottoman. pretty labor intensive, think i’ll stick to silk.

i’ve been working like crazy this month
trying lots of new things
tried my hand at using water soluble gutta
AND … the shibori bug has got me

“It’s 2008…. and scarves are the MUST HAVE accessory!” That’s the word at Suite101.com, by way of DeeBozzz, and I like the way they are thinking.
I’m doing a lot of new painting this week, and working on some new styles and designs. The one in this photo didn’t turn out the way I hoped it might … but I like the ocean motif, and may return to it.

Since moving into my new studio … everything has been everywhere.
You know … when you move – can’t find anything, stuff covering all the surfaces, parts of things all over the place.
well … actually its like that all the time. not just when i move
but ….. i did start to paint again
just rolled up my sleeves and did it

So I see these words:
